COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - The Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Program, which serves a key role in the development of intermediate instructors who teach in USA Archery Clubs nationwide, has been updated to include improved course content and new program branding.
While the course will still maintain its original purpose, it has been significantly enhanced, helping instructors to have a more comprehensive learning experience while taking the Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Course.
New course content includes:
In addition, Level 2 student and instructor certification packets now include a stretch band, 90" nylon cord and USA Archery whistle, revised student exam and updated forms. These updated materials are now available for purchase at www.usarchery.org for $40.00.
The course will also include 46 new instructional videos, which can be accessed using the USA Archery Mobile Coach website and APP - a free phone application for iOS and Android that allows current USA Archery coaches and instructors to view premium video content featured in the course materials. USA Archery Mobile Coach also provides access to the USA Archery coach locator, certification course schedule, event schedule, coach resources and online shop.
USA Archery has also developed a new Level 2 Instructor Trainer certification program. This additional free certification will help to ensure USA Archery Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor certification courses are taught in a safe and consistent manner and reduce the time and cost required to become qualified to teach the Level 2 Instructor course. Additional information related to all Level 2 Instructor and Instructor Trainer program updates and eligibility criteria is now available in our Level 2 Instructor FAQ.
"Level 2 Instructors play a lead role in conducting USA Archery Club programs and events, and help to certify new Level 1 Instructors," commented Denise Parker, USA Archery CEO. "These program updates and the addition of the new Level 2 Instructor Trainer certification, will improve the quality of the certification courses and increase the resources available to our certified instructors and coaches through the mobile coach application."
USA Archery, the National Field Archery Association and the Archery Shooters Association recognize instructor certification under a joint certification program and also contributed to this effort. USA Archery administers the program on behalf of these organizations.
"The growth of archery is critical to the success of our industry," commented Jay McAninch, president and CEO of the Archery Trade Association. "The ATA is proud to support the efforts of USA Archery in developing certified archery instructors, who are often part of archery retail stores. We're excited to support the education of instructors, who are ultimately helping to grow our sport and the industry."
