Kailey Johnston Sets 25 Meter Indoor World Record

Snellville, GA - Cadet compound archer Kailey Johnston (Dublin, GA) has set a new indoor world record for the 25 meter distance in her category, achieving a score of 582 at the recent Archery Learning Center Fall 25 Meter Classic tournament, held in Snellvile, GA. Lee Ford (Atlanta, GA) also shot a FITA Star record at 25 meters at the same event, with a 532 in the AR3 (Standing) division.

Johnston defeated the previous world record in the cadet compound female category, which was a score of 575.

The 25 Meter Classic, a registered Star FITA event, consisted of 60 arrows shot at the distance of 25 meters on the 60cm face. The event offered archers a unique opportunity to enjoy a round that is rarely offered at tournaments, primarily due to range size requirements.
