The Texas Shootout, a United States Archery Team (USAT) Qualifier Series Event, will take place at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, on September 3, 4 and 5.

The first stage of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Archery will be held at the same location, on September 6 and 7. Archers hoping to compete in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials are strongly encouraged to read the Athlete Selection Procedures for the 2016 Olympic Games. The Selection Procedures explain the team selection process in detail.

The top 16 recurve women and top 16 recurve men from the Texas Shootout qualifications, in the combined senior and junior divisions, will advance to the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Archery.

The Athlete Selection Procedures for the 2016 Olympic Games contain complete information on how point totals will be calculated.

Information on the U.S. Paralympic Team Trials for Archery is forthcoming, and an announcement will be posted on USA Archery's website as soon as information becomes available.
