Level 2 Instructor Certification Course

This is a combined Level 1 & Level 2 Certification Course. You do not need previous certification to enroll in Level 2. You may also do only the Level 1 portion of this course.


Entry Pre-Requisites for Level 1:

Age: 15 to 17 years old
Membership: USA Archery Recreational Membership (which includes the necessary Range Pass) or All Access Membership
Additional Requirements: SafeSport Training (accessible through your member account)
                                        Background Screening (accessible through your member account or on USA Archery's website)

Important Information:

USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification will be taught on Friday and Half-day on Saturday for those obtaining only Level 1 Certification


 The Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course provides the tools to maintain safety on the archery range and ensures that USA Archery standards for instruction are followed to provide for the safety and enjoyment of archery participants.
 Level 1 Instructors are prepared to teach beginner archery programs at a basic level to all age groups for indoor or outdoor settings. The Level 1 Instructor will learn about range safety, range setup, the steps of shooting, equipment and repair, programs and lesson plans.


Course Length: 8 hours (Dependent on class size)

Course Cost: $100.00 (includes breakfast pastries and coffee on Saturday)

Certification Period: Three years from the date of course completion

Qualified to be Instructor for camps, scouts, Explore Archery Program, or other park department classes

Additional Requirements: SafeSport Training (accessible through your member account)

Important Information:

USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification will begin with Level 1 taught on Friday and go through Sunday


 The Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Course includes the Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course and provides knowledge to the National Training System (NTS) Steps of Shooting for recurve and compound, equipment and accessory setup, athlete development and events.
 Graduates of the Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Course are well prepared to serve as the lead instructor for long-term archery programs such as
Park District and Rec Department archery program coordinators, creating and running a Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) club, Adult Archery Program and Collegiate Archery Program clubs, as well as the Explore Archery Program for camps and activities. Level 2 Instructors can open the possibilities and opportunities to advance in archery in many ways within their community and surrounding areas.

Course Length: 12-16 hours (Dependent on class size)

Course Cost: $175 (includes breakfast pastries and coffee, plus Rosati's Pizza for lunch on Saturday)

Certification Period: Three years from the date of course completion

Prerequisites:

Minimum age is 18


Certification Requirements:

Membership, Background screening, and SafeSport must all be completed prior to becoming certified with USA Archery as an Instructor

NOTICE - NO CERTIFICATION WILL BE VALID WITHOUT USA ARCHERY MEMBERSHIP, USA ARCHERY BACKGROUND SCREENING, AND SAFE SPORT COMPLETION

*A Temporary, Recreational, and/or Youth Membership option will not satisfy the membership requirement.
