2024 USA Archery Nebraska/Kansas Field Championship

This State Championship event is sanctioned by USA Archery as a 72-Arrow Field Round and is eligible for Nebraska or Kansas State Championships.

SCHEDULE

Please start your check in at the outdoor registration tent to confirm your status. Equipment check, practice, and competition will be directed from the assembly area for the outdoor field range. Groups must have minimum 3 archers to begin; 4 archers max per group.

Field: Saturday or Sunday
8  AM - Athlete Check-In, Equipment Check and Continuous Start
9 AM Shotgun Start, 24-target - Field Round - 72 arrows
24 targets (12 unmarked & 12 marked); 3 arrows per target

FEE
Shooting one event: $15/youth (15 & younger), $25/adult (16 & older)

MEMBERSHIP
The tournament is open to all USA Archery members. Please see this page or contact [email protected] for further information. 

National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) and S3DA archers can obtain a free one year trial membership to USA Archery. Please see this page for more information.

Sign up for USA Archery Memberships (temporary or other) online here. Memberships must be complete prior to check-in if not competing as 'Guest.'

All archers welcome, but participants must be a Nebraska or Kansas resident (or a member of a club in those states) to be eligible to earn their respective state championship awards.

PREREQUISITES
All competitors must be a USA Archery member in good standing.

Online registration will close on Thursday, September 5th at noon. Walk-in registration will be available but you must be able to display valid USA Archery membership.

AWARDS
Awards will be given for places 1-3 for all (non-guest) divisions.

CONDUCT, EQUIPMENT, AND DRESS CODE
All attendees and athletes are required to abide by USA Archery's Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies and codes of conduct as applicable by participation level. USA Archery equipment and dress codes apply. Please visit the USA Archery website for full details.

BOW DIVISIONS
Archers ages 14 and under shooting a basic compound (Genesis style) bow are eligible to compete in the Basic Compound division.

-Compound (any sight, stabilizer, release; 60 lb. draw max)
-Olympic Recurve
-Barebow / Traditional
-Basic Compound (Genesis) (Explorer [14 & under] only)
-Fixed Pins (Compound) (sights [including fiber optics] with any style reference points but no magnification [no adjustment after scoring begins], up to 12” stabilizer; release; 60 lb. draw max)

AGE CLASSES

-Explorer: Basic Compound or Recurve bows only; through the calendar year of their 14th birthday.
-U13: through the calendar year of their 12th birthday. Previously called Bowman
-U15: through the calendar year of their 14th birthday. Previously called Cub
-U18: through the calendar year of their 17th birthday. Previously called Cadet
-U21: through the calendar year of their 20th birthday. Previously called Junior
-Senior: at any age
-50+: when the competition takes place in the year of their 50th birthday and thereafter. Previously “Master 50”
-60+: when the competition takes place in the year of their 60th birthday and thereafter. Previously “Master 60”
-70+: when the competition takes place in the year of their 70th birthday and thereafter. Previously “Master 70”

EVENT DETAILS

Nebraska State Field Round (24 targets, 3 arrows each = 72 arrow total)

Round will follow World Archery rules for target set up and scoring except where superseded by this event description and location accommodations. Scoring will be yellow rings [6, 5], black rings [4, 3, 2, 1]. View Field event rules here.

Yellow Peg: Compound U13/U15; Recurve U13/U15; Barebow/Trad U13/U15/U18; Basic Compound; Fixed Pins U13/U15

Blue Peg: Compound U18; Recurve U18; Barebow/Trad U21/Senior/50+/60+/70+; Fixed Pins U18

Red Peg: Compound U21/Senior/50+/60+/70+; Recurve U21/Senior/50+/60+/70+; Fixed Pins U21/Senior/50+/60+/70+
