Central Texas Archery 3D Round Up

Shotgun Start: Everyone begins at the same time at different targets.

24 ends using 12 targets at two different distances.

This tournament is brought to you in part by USA Archery who supplied CTA with 10 3D targets through a grant.

For this 3D archery shoot you’ll be put in a group of two to four people depending on amount of registrations. This tournament will begin in shotgun style where each group starts at a different target. You’ll walk to your assigned target and every person takes two shots. Each person in the group will have a scorecard and will score a different person. After scoring everyone, pull arrows. Then you’ll move on to the next target.

As you’re walking from target to target, you’ll walk up to a stake in the ground, the point from where you’ll take your shot at the target. There are different colors of stakes for the different classes of shooters. This tournament will have 3 stakes, compound, recurve/barebow/traditional, and NASP.  Targets will range of 5 to 40 yards with distances known for each target.

Scoring is 5 points for anywhere on the target, 8 points for the vital area and 10 points for the ’10 ring’ – the large circle area, and 11 points for the smallest ring.

Scores are tallied up by Judge Eric and totaled once everyone competing has completed the course. Awards will be given once scores are tallied.
