2022 USA Archery Virginia State Outdoor Championship

The Virginia State Championship is Here.

Same location as last year but lots more fun planned.

This will be a 2 day shoot held at Tucker Park in Goochland, (Maidens) Virginia. June 25 & 26. 

Address is 1300 Maidens Road, Maidens, VA 23102, off of rt. 522 look for our signs.

Saturday 25th, Day 1 will begin shooting at 9:am with 72 arrow round. After that we will have a fun "Head to Head" elimination rounds grouped by bow type and distance.

Example: All Male Compound shooters who shoot 50Meters will compete together. All female recurve shooters who shoot 70 meters will compete together. And so on by bow type and distance. This will be a fun shoot at no additional charge and not mandatory to participate but we hope you will. Elimination matches are a lot of fun and good experience for archers who have never done them. We will have additional prizes for those who win the matches, but the scores will NOT effect your state championship scores in any way.

Day 2 will continue with another 72 arrow rounds to complete your championship scores.

We plan to offer live scoring for this event. Paper scorecards will be the official scores for this event. 

Concessions are planned for this event and we will update once we confirm the vendor.

Archers are asked to bring a pop up canopy for their group and any chairs they will need. Spectators will be required to stay within the spectator are. Archers setting up tents will need to set them back far enough as to not block the waiting line for archers who are competing.

An awards ceremony will follow immediately after scores have been verified.

We will be making updates to our event as we add sponsors and vendors so, check back as the event approaches.

We hope to be able to offer fun things to do in our little town during these two days.

Cost for this event is $65 and not refundable after the June 21 deadline. Any requests for cancellation or refunds must be received before that date. 

This will be a World Archery STAR event. 

Official Judges for this event are Andy Neville and Shelley Walker.

Concessions will be available from Dane's Great Dogs and they will be offering some popular selections from their menu as well as hershey Ice Cream is planned as well.
