2019 USA Archery Utah and Idaho State Indoor Championships

COMPETITION RULES This sanctioned USA Archery event follows all rules and procedures from the USAA Rules and interpretations. This includes equipment and clothing regulations. Any USA Archery member in good standing is eligible to compete in this tournament. NFAA members can get a free USA archery temp membership. You will be assigned as a Guest, if your membership does not have Utah or Idaho as the primary location. JOAD participants may compete in their respective category though the calendar year of their birthday. 

DIVISION Barebow, Compound, and Recurve CLASS Master 50+ - when the competition takes place in the year of their 50th birthday and thereafter Senior – any adult Junior – through the calendar year of their 20th birthday Cadet – through the calendar year of their 17th birthday Cub – through the calendar year of their 14th birthday Bowman – through the calendar year of their 12th birthday Yeoman - through the calendar year of their 9th birthday JOAD participants may compete in their respective category though the calendar year of their birthday. 

COMPETITION DISTANCES Division: Men & Women Distance Target Arrow per end Number of Ends Number of Rounds Recurve: Master, Senior, Junior, Cadet, Cub, Bowman, Para Recurve Open 18 m Vertical or 40 cm 3 20 2 Recurve: Yeoman 9 m 80 cm 3 20 2 Barebow: Master, Senior, Junior, Cub, Bowman 18 m Vertical or 40 cm 3 20 2 Barebow: Yeoman 9 m 80 cm 3 20 2 Compound: Master, Senior, Junior, Cub, Bowman, Para Compound Open 18 m Vertical or 40 cm 3 20 2 Compound: Yeoman 9 m 80 cm 3 20 2 

COMPETITION FORMAT 18 meters FITA Indoor round (9 meters for Yeoman category), 600 round (20 ends, 3 arrows per end, 2 minutes per end) ABCD Compound: all classes – 40 cm single spot or vertical 3 spots at registration. Recurve/Barebow: All Cub, Bowman and Yeoman recurve/barebow archers will shoot 80 cm target – single spot only. Cadets and upper classes will shoot 40 cm single spot or vertical 3-spots (40 cm) at registration. 

PRACTICE Practice on the day of competition will be limited to 3 ends prior to scoring rounds on assigned targets. 

SHOOTING LINES Saturday: 9 a.m Archers will be given line assignments. All archers should arrive and check-in 1 hour before shooting time for registration and equipment inspection. 

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT Cost is $30 per archer. Online registration is open from Easton Salt Lake Center website. 

SCORING Electronic scoring will be used at this event. The paper scorecard will be the final determinant in any discrepancy between the electronic scorecard and the paper scorecard for the value of each arrow. Make sure to fill in your scorecard completely and legibly. A miss is marked on the scorecard as a “M”. The inner ten-ring is marked as a “X”. Arrow values may not be changed once the arrow is removed from the target, however, addition may be corrected at any time before the scorecard is signed and submitted. Please be sure to check and double-check scorecards before submitting. AWARDS Award ceremony will be held at the end of the tournament. No medal awarded for guest competitors.
