USA Archery Level 3 Coach Certification Practical Course

Complete the hands-on component of the USA Archery Level 3 coaching pathway with Chad Jones, the 2025 USA Archery Developmental Coach of the Year.

This approximately 16-hour, in-person practical course builds upon the Level 3 online curriculum and prepares coaches to apply evidence-based coaching and teaching methods in real-world training environments.

Participants will explore and apply:

• Quality coaching principles and methodology
• Motor-learning theory
• Effective coaching and feedback methods
• USA Archery's National Training System for recurve and compound
• Mental processes in coaching and performance
• Movement analysis and performance evaluation
• Training theory and program design
• Athlete development and long-term progression
• Coaching philosophy and continued professional development

Through instruction, discussion, demonstrations, and practical application, participants will strengthen their ability to analyze movement, provide effective feedback, organize purposeful training programs, and support the long-term development of their athletes.

Prerequisites and Certification Requirements

Participants must:

• Be at least 19 years old
• Hold a current USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certification
• Successfully complete the required USA Archery Level 3 online course
• Meet USA Archery's applicable membership, background-screening, and Center for SafeSport training requirements
