MICHIGAN - Level 2 Instructor Practical Course

This course is for individuals wanting to become certified as a Level 2 Instructor. This is NOT for RECERTIFICATION and Level 1 certification is not a prerequisite to take the Level 2 Online or Practical course.

This Level 2 Practical Course is to demonstrate your knowledge and skills as a USA Archery Level 2 Instructor, and provides students with the necessary tools to serve as the lead instructor for long-term archery programs such as Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Adult Archery Program and Collegiate Archery Program clubs, and the Explore Archery Program. The USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification includes the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification course information and provides students with an introduction to the National Training System (NTS) Steps of Shooting for recurve and compound, equipment and accessory setup, athlete development and events. 

Students must first successfully pass the USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification Online Course, including the online exam before registering for this practical course. Students must have current U.S. Center for SafeSport training, current USA Archery Background Screen, and a current USA Archery or National Field Archery Association membership. Students successfully completing this course will receive a USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certificate of completion.

This course will be held at Mid-Michee Bowman, 151 S 9 Mile Rd, Midland, Michigan 48640 at their indoor range and classroom area. The normal time investment for the Level 2 course is 8+ hours, starting at 8am and completion at/near lunch time, depending on the experiences of the students enrolled. Level 2 students will be enrolled simultaneous with Level 1 students, and will continue after lunch to complete the Level 2 course.

The course is being offered both Saturday and Sunday on September 12 & 13, and October 24 & 25, 2026, from 8am-noon+ for Level 1 students, and from 8am-5pm for Level 2 students. Registration and attendance on only one of these dates is required. This class requires a minimum total of six (6) registrants (Level 1 and/or Level 2) within seven (7) days of the class date; otherwise the class will be cancelled and entry fees refunded or applied to an alternative date.

Level 2 Certification Requirements

• Successful completion of Level 2 Online Course
• Practical Course Length: 8 Hours
• Level 2 Practical Course Cost: $120 (plus sales tax as applicable by state)
• Certification Period: Three years from the date of the course completion

Refund Policy

Refunds requested one-week prior to the start of the course will be provided for the registration fee minus any processing fees. Refunds after this will not be provided. A minimum total of six (6) registrants (Level 1 and/or Level 2) within seven (7) days of the class date; otherwise the class will be cancelled and entry fees refunded.
