Level 1 Instructor Practical

Course Description:

Have you successfully passed your Level 1 Instructor online course and looking to gain your practical experience in safely and effectively guiding new archers into the world of archery?

This practical course will give you the opportunity to put the knowledge you have learned from the online Level 1 instructor course into action. You will practice and demonstrate the skills you will need to safely & effectively be a Level 1 USA archery Instructor. 

You will be able to explain and demonstrate the following Instructor Skills:

• Range set up
• Range rules
• How to manage a recurve & Universal compound bow (use & basic maintenance)
• The NTS steps of shooting
• How to give effective feedback to a new archer
• How to run your first class

Prerequisites:

• Must have passed online level 1 instructor course
• Minimum age:15, although a student who is 14 and within 30 days of his or her birthday may take this course and must wait until they are actually turn 15 to submit applicant data form.

Course Length: 5 hours

Course cost: $100

Certification Period: Three years from course completion
