ONLINE Level 3 NTS Coach Certification Course
This course will be taught by Level 4 USA Archery Certified Coach, Tom Hinojosa.
Coach Tom has been teaching Online certification courses since April 2020, with special permission from USAA. Click here for reviews.
The Level 3-NTS Coach Certification Course moves away from group instruction and focuses on individual athlete development. Students in the Level 3-NTS Coach Certification Course will be introduced to coaching philosophy, event preparation, mental skills, training cycles and plans, equipment tuning and receive advanced instruction on the National Training System (NTS) for Recurve and Compound.
COURSE LOCATION: Online via Zoom - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER It is best to contact us 3 weeks or more before the start of the course so there is time to order materials and get them to you.
COURSE LENGTH: 3 days - each day consists of three 2 1/2 hour classes followed by 1 hr. breaks.
CERTIFICATION PERIOD: Three years from the date of course completion
PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A WORKING CAMERA & MICROPHONE as Coach Tom needs to see and hear each participant throughout the course.
USA ARCHERY PREREQUISITES:
- Minimum age is 19
- Must hold a current Level 2 Instructor certification
- OR pass the Level 3 Test-in Exam* & Verify 3 years of documented archery instructor/coaching experience (see below for prerequisites for testing into a Level 3 course)
USA ARCHERY CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
FIRST, put USA Archery membership in place, THEN access background screening and SafeSport training through your member dashboard.
USA ARCHERY BENEFITS:
*Instructors or coaches may test-in to the Level 3-NTS course if they are not a Level 2 USA Archery Instructor when, in addition to the prerequisites, at least one of the following is met:
1) competed in the Olympics, Paralympics or World Championships,
2) trained in the USA Archery Resident Athlete Program or
3) current Level 3 or Level 4 Coach
**USA Archery membership required; NFAA membership will not satisfy the membership requirement.
