Athlete Update - What can athletes expect for 2009?

International Events and Training Camps

What can the athletes expect for the remainder of 2009?

2010 USAT and Jr. USAT Requirements - the requirements for the 2010 USAT and Jr. USAT teams are posted on the website so you can plan your travel year accordingly.

2009 Rolling Ranking System - The rolling ranking system will remain in place for the 2009 year; however, the newly elected Athletes Advisory Council will be reviewing the concept of a single ranking system that could replace the USAT and Rolling Ranking rankings.  There is still much discussion to be had and even if a plan had support, the earliest it would be implemented would be in the 2010 tournament schedule.  If support for a system emerges from the Athletes Advisory Council and was supported by the USOC, we will post it online for athletes to review and accept feedback before finalizing or implementing. The 2009 Rolling Ranking Events include:

  • - Arizona Cup Phoenix, AZ
  • - Texas Shoot Out College Station, TX
  • - Gold Cup Bloomfield, NJ
  • - U.S. Outdoor Nationals Hamilton, OH
  • - World Outdoor Team Trials Conyers, GA
  • - World Outdoor Championships Ulsan, Korea
  • - FITA World Cups (Stages 1-4) Santo Domingo, Porec, Antalya, Shanghai
