Striving for that gold medal, top three finish, or personal best is what tournament play is all about, and we cannot wait to see you on the field with us. The Lancaster Archery Academy is holding our third Annual Summer Smack Down Star FITA tournament on September 23 and 24. You can register online above by clicking the red 'Reserve' button. All shooters will be required to have a current USA Archery Membership. WA/USA Archery Rules and Dress Code will be in effect.

New this year is an exciting change to our tournament format! Once each division has completed their qualification round, we will combine age classes and genders into three larger divisions: Recurve, Compound, and Barebow. The top 8 finishers in each of these combined divisions based on qualification score will be eligible to shoot head-to-head elimination matches for prize money. Archers will shoot elimination rounds on the same day as their qualifier round at 25M and according to World Archery rules. For instance, a Bowman Barebow shooting at 25M may shoot against a Masters Barebow shooting at 25M if they both ranked in the top 8 for Barebow overall. Recurve and Barebow matches will follow the Set System. Compound matches will be based on total score.

The tournament will be held at the Lancaster Archery Academy's Archery Park, which is located off the rear parking lot of the Lancaster Archery Supply Pro Shop, 2195-A Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Qualification Shooting Times:

• Compound - Saturday, September 23, 2023: 9:00AM 
• Recurve and Barebow - Sunday, September 24, 2023: 9:00AM

Elimination Shooting Times:

• Top 8 in combined divisions: Compound
• Saturday, September 23, 2023: 1:00PM

• Top 8 in combined divisions: Recurve, Barebow
• Sunday, September 24, 2023: 1:00PM

Registration Fees: 

• $50.00 per archer
• Late fee of an additional $10.00 begins September 15, 2023
• Registration closes Wednesday, September 20

• 1st Place - $750
• 2nd Place - $375
• 3rd Place - $150
• 4th Place - $75

Important Details

• Availability is first come, first serve. Pre-registration is needed. No walk-ins the day of event
• Registration deadline is September 20, 2023
• Equipment inspection begins 30-45 minutes prior to your selected shooting time: **Please note WA/USA Archery Equipment Rules: 23/64" or 9.3mm max arrow diameter, etc.
• Rcherz electronic registration, scoring, and results for family and friends
• All archers will choose during registration whether to shoot a 60cm vertical three spot, or a 60cm single-spot target face
• Tournament is a FITA Indoor 600 25M Round (60 arrows), event to be held OUTDOORS, registered as a STAR FITA with USAA for World/USA Record Qualification
• No unofficial practice is available
• Qualification Awards to follow at the conclusion of each qualifier line time
• Elimination Awards to immediately follow conclusion of medal matches on Saturday and Sunday
• Concessions will be available onsite, proceeds benefiting the Lancaster JOAD Team
• We will be following all current and updated World Archery and USA Archery format & rules
