2023 USA Archery Arizona State JOAD Outdoor Championships

 Registration will open in mid-February for the USAA-ARIZONA Outdoor JOAD Championship

Format:

• Saturday 04/22/2023 - 72 Arrow Qualification

  • Two (2) Scoring of 36 arrows for a total of 72 arrows and a max score of 720.

  • 10 Minute Intermission between Scoring Rounds

• Sunday 04/23/2023 - Eliminations and Medal Matches

  • Elimination Rounds

Youth JOAD Divisions:

• U21 Recurve Junior shoot 70M

• U18 Recurve Cadet shoot 60M

• U15 Recurve Cub shoot 50M

• U13 Recurve Bowmen shoot 30M

• U18 Compound Cadet/ U21 Compound Junior shoot 50M

• U15 Compound Cub shoot 30M

• U13 Compound Bowmen 25m

• U21 Barebow Junior shoot 50M

• U18 Barebow Cadet shoot 50M

• U15 Barebow Cub shoot 30M

• U13 Barebow Bowmen shoot 30M

• Yeoman Compound or Recurve shoot 15m (This is the distance set by USA Archery and distance required to win a state award)

Target Face – Recurve and Barebow shooters will shoot at a 122cm target face. Compound shooters will shoot at a 80cm 6-ring target face. 

MEMBERSHIP – USAA/NAA membership listing Arizona residence is required to compete for the State Championship recognition. If your USAA membership expires prior to the official start date of the tournament, a copy of your USAA membership renewal and payment must accompany your tournament Registration Form. Your application will not be considered complete until your current membership is on file with the USAA. All archers must show USAA membership card at the tournament registration table. YOUTH DIVISIONS:
“Junior” through the calendar year of their 20th birthday

“Cadet” through the calendar year of their 17th birthday

“Cub” through the calendar year of their 14th birthday 

“Bowman” through the calendar year of their 12th birthday

“Yeoman” through the calendar year of their 9th birthday (Minimum age of 6)

• Must be able to SAFELY use a bow

• Shooting is at discretion of tournament director
