The 2022 Indiana Open and State Indoor Championship will be March 5th and 6th at the C K Newsome Center, 100 E Walnut Street, Evansville, Indiana 47713 C.K. Newsome Community Center / City of Evansville (evansvillegov.org) . The format will be 60 arrows at 18 meters on Saturday the 5th and 60 arrows at 25 meters on Sunday the 6th. This will be a World Archery sanctioned event. There will be two shooting times each day, 8:00 AM Central Standard Time and 12:00 PM Central Standard Time (Evansville is on slow time). Last year there were World and National records at 25 meters established at this event.
We are reaching out to the Collegiate Archery Program Teams in the Tri-State and encouraging their participation. There will be individual and team awards for the collegiate teams. Teams will be composed of both male and female archers. The scores of the highest archer in each style, i.e., Male and Female Compound, Male and Female Bowhunter (Pins), Male and Female Barebow, and Male and Female Recurve will be combined to determine the total team score. Incomplete teams will be recognized. The top three teams will receive awards.
There will be a banquet on Saturday, March 5th for archers and their families. It is scheduled to be held at the Riverwalk Restaurant Riverwalk Restaurant & Catering (riverwalkevv.com) inside the Hadi Shrine Temple, 6 Walnut Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708. Registration for the banquet will be part of your on-line event registration through Sport 80 and is $20/plate. Advance reservations will be required.
A block of hotels is being negotiated with the Evansville Convention and Business Bureau and will be added to this site as soon as possible.
