2021 USA Archery Colorado State JOAD Indoor Championship COVID-19 Mitigation Plan
As of January 4th, 2021, El Paso County moved to Colorado's COVID-19 dial framework Level Orange.
This allows for up to 25% or 50-person capacity for indoor events. Using the social distancing calculator provided by the state, Archery School of the Rockies (ASR) will be allowed to have 50 people inside their facility.
In an effort to provide a safe indoor event that follows local and state guidelines, while keeping the event competitive and with the standards of quality known at USA Archery State events, ASR will:
- Have a single day event on Saturday January 30th with three shooting times 9am, 1pm and 5pm.
- There will be a maximum of 26 archers per shooting time. Archers will be distanced at least 6 feet apart while on the shooting line.
- Event will be closed to the public. Only registered archers, registered coaches and event staff will be allowed inside the building. As long as it is their shooting time.
- Everyone inside the building must wear a mask at all times. Exception will be to archers while on the shooting line.
- Everyone entering the building will be temperature screened, asked screening questions and required to sanitize hands.
- A limited number of USA Archery coaches per team will be allowed in the building. These coaches will have a designated area behind the archers’ area where they must stay at.
- If weather permits, check in, bow inspection and score card return will be performed at the entrance to the venue.
- It is strongly suggested for archers to have their gear fully setup before entering the venue.
- The venue will try to enforce a one direction entry-exit flow.
- The event plans to provide live video and audio feed to the general public to observe remotely.
- The ASR staff will sanitize the communally touched surfaces during the event and especially between shooting times.
- Contact tracing information will be kept if required for future reference.
