TK Level 1 Instructor Practical

This is for Scouters wanting to earn the USA Archery Level 1 or Level 2 Instructor (coach) certifications in time for summer camp. This is an adult training as you must be 18+ to get USA Archery certified. The USA Archery online course must be completed prior to taking this practical course.

What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 certification?

·       Level 1 certification is needed to run the archery range at a scouting event, such as troop archery range time, summer camp, and therefore is the training that most scouters need topics will include range safety, range operations, and the very basic about archery.

·       Level 2 includes range safety, range operations, and how to coach archery, 3-year membership in USAA and USA Archery Background check.

·       Level 2 certification is needed for the train the instructor certification course and advance courses including JOAD and Tournaments Judging.

·       Level 1 is not a prerequisite for Level 2 certification as you can take Level 2 without taking Level 1.

·       To earn either of these certifications the candidate must complete both parts of the training, on-line course and a practical in person course.

·       Level 1 and Level 2 practical course can be tough at the same time and take about 4 to 8 hours to complete.

Once you have completed the online requirements and then all you need is the practical course.  For the practical course contact Sam W. at [email protected] (USA Archery Instructor/Trainer).  Practical course to be held at Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation (TK) archery range in Jupiter Florida.
