Participants must be adult members of Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. The USA Archery Level 2 Instructor course provides participants with the necessary tools to serve as the lead instructor for long-term archery programs such as Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Adult Archery and Collegiate Archery Program clubs, and the Explore Archery Program. The USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certification is required to become a USA Archery instructor trainer for our council. Instructors who complete this certification plus the USA Archery Instructor Trainer online course may teach Archery Level 1 Instructor courses for GSEM volunteers.
The USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certification includes the Level 1 Instructor information and provides students with an introduction to the National Training System (NTS) Steps of Shooting for recurve and compound bows, equipment and accessory setup, athlete development and events.
This USA Archery certification is valid for three years and is renewable online through USA Archery via the USA Archery Level 2 Renewal course in gsLearn.To complete the requirements for this certification, students must successfully pass the USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certification online course and exam and in-person practical, complete the U.S. Center for SafeSport training (online), possess a current USA Archery Background Screening as well as holding a current USA Archery or National Field Archery Association membership.
