Level 1 Practical at The Summit Bechtel National Reserve (Invitation Only July17, 2024)

SBR Level 1 Practical by Invitation Only for the 2024 Summer Season for Wednesday July 17, 2024

The Boy Scout Summit Bechtel Reserve provides USA Archery Instructor Level 1 Practical training for participants at various times.. This Level 1 Practical course is the second part of a two-step process to complete US Archery Instructor Level 1. Students must complete the Level 1 Online class before registering for this class scheduled June 18, 2024. Registration must be completed for this Level 1 Practical on or before June 17, 2024. 

US Archery Level 1 provides the necessary tools to maintain a high level of safety on and off the archery range.  The student will learn about range safety, range setup, steps of shooting, equipment and repair. A USA Archery Level 1 Instructor or higher certification is required to operate Scouts BSA, Venture, Explorer and Sea Scout archery ranges and teach Cub Scout Range Master training. The Level 1 Practical is a four hour “in-person” class and may be registered by the invited student upon completion of the L1 online class. This Practical Level 1 will be held at the Joe Crafton Hunter's Hall on Wednesday June 17, 2024, from 8:30AM to 1:30 PM EST.

The USA Archery certification is good for three years and can be renewed online.
