This PRACTICAL course is for Boy Scout Camp Counselors and Scout Leader students who have completed the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification Online Course within the USA Archery Education Hub, at their own pace. Upon successful completion of that online course, student can then register for this in-person PRACTICAL course. Course date is Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Cole Canoe Base from 9am til 6pm. Located at 1356 E Greenwood Rd, Prescott, MI 48610. The course will review and show actual implementations of range safety; how to teach archery shooting techniques for the first time instructors as well as the veteran instructors; review of the basic steps of shooting according to the NTS; the storage, care and repair of compound and recurve bows and other archery equipment used on site at Cole and similar Scout facilities; and coaching techniques and other specific items related to the archery program in scouting. Course fee will be $50 on our Michigan Crossroad Council website.
