This course will provide the four hour practical instruction and demonstration of understanding required to complete USA Archery's Level 1 instructor certification. Level 1 certification is frequently required to supervise archery for camps and scouting programs. The course will include five modules: (1) Range Set-Up and Safety, (2) Outfitting a Class With Equipment, (3) Teaching the National Training System Steps of Shooting-Recurve Bow, (4) Teaching the First Archery Class and Try Archery, (5) Introduction to Coaching Techniques.
The course will take place from 8:00AM-12:00PM EST at the New Haven Sportsman's Club, 4158 Durham Rd (Route 77), Guilford, CT 06437. We will meet in the lower classroom area to begin before going to the range.
