USA Archery Level 3 National Judge Course

Upon successful completion of the online and in person practical portions of this course, each student will be certified as a USA Archery Level 3 National Judge and will be qualified to judge at all USA Archery local, state, and national events.

Prerequisites

• Minimum Age: 20
• USA Archery Membership
• USA Archery background screening*
• U.S. Center for SafeSport Training**
• Must be a Level 2 Certified Judge for two years and completed Judge duty at one USA Archery National-level outdoor tournament, plus one USA Archery Indoor Nationals or Field Nationals prior to application.
• The Level 3 National Judge Course will be a blended course with an online course component and a practical component. The practical will be held on or before the practice day of the USA Archery Target Nationals each year***.

During the in-person portion of this course, students will examine and discuss case studies, rule interpretations and rehearse practical situations and procedures.

Course Requirements

To successfully complete the USA Archery Level 3 National Judge Certification Course, each student must be age 20 and older and meet the following course requirements.

• Complete the online portion of the USA Archery Level 3 National Judge Certification Course
• Pass the online USA Archery Level 3 National Judge Certification Exam with a score of 85% or higher
• Complete the in-person portion of the USA Archery Level 3 National Judge Course
• Pass the in-person practical exam for the USA Archery Level 3 National Judge Course
  

Additional Requirements

In addition to meeting the necessary course requirements, the following additional requirements must be completed before a certificate of completion will be issued.

1. Each student is required to successfully complete a USA Archery Background Screen. A USA Archery Background Screen is good for 2 years from date of completion. To apply for a USA Archery Background Screen, please visit https://usarchery.sport80.com/login. USA Archery will be notified of the results and will update the judge certification accordingly.
   
   
2. Each student is required to obtain a membership to USA Archery. Please note, a USA Archery Temporary, Recreational, Youth Membership, or Trial Youth Membership will not satisfy the USA Archery membership requirement. To review membership options, prices and benefits, please visit:

3. The core U.S. Center for SafeSport training is a required 90-minute online course all USA Archery judges must complete to obtain a current status. To access the course, log in to your USA Archery member account at https://usarchery.sport80.com/login.
   

*Note: students will need to register for the in-person practical portion of the Level 3 National Judge Course($50) after successfully completing the online portion of the course.
