Larry Skinner Named Resident Athlete Coach in Chula Vista

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Archery is proud to announce the selection of Larry Skinner (Moberly, Mo.) to be the short-term archery coach at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Chula Vista, Calif. Skinner will serve as the interim training programs coach until the new National Coach comes on board later this fall, at which time Larry will continue as the assistant coach.
Skinner has been involved with archery for over 50 years. He is an NAA Level 4 Coach and has traveled with several U.S. teams to international competitions, including the 2005 World Indoor Championships in Denmark and the 2005 World Target Championships in Spain. He has been the personal coach for two-time Olympian Vic Wunderle for 18 years, has extensive knowledge of all aspects of archery and is sincerely dedicated to helping aspiring archers improve their performance.
Skinner will take up residence at the Chula Vista OTC in early July. The USOC has allotted five beds to short-term archery athletes for the remainder of 2005.
